Day 7

We were walking up to our house on the top centre  of the photo (brown house). The house has three bedrooms and one bathroom. We normally played cards on the verandah at night but last night we watched a movie!

When we were watching the movie 10 local kids, who we were friends with, came to our house and started climbing trees outside.

Franky and his friends were regulars at the Rec Hall.
The Rec Hall is a hall with a soccer pitch and a basketball court. The little boys were real characters always showing up when we arrived for a game.                                                                            By Tom Post and Lachie Hansen

Day 7

When we were playing basketball a young girl pulled us over to the sidelines to show us her baby joey. She told us the joey's mum was killed when they went hunting. Will really liked it and he asked to take it home with him.

We went up to Pretty Flower to watch the sunset. We were not allowed to go on the beach because there were crocs in the water. The crocodile that lived there was 5.5 metres long but we did not see him.

Day 6

Hi. I'm Shanika and we were paniting at Jilamara
and person who works there showed us some other paniting as well. We did some different kind of aboriginal paniting and that so fun. It was good to be there with the bgs boys.

This is Anthonthy and me (Willow), as we were dancing a Tiwi dance called 'The Boat Dance'. We taught the B.G.S boys to dance as well. They were funny.

Photographed from let to right is Sanika, Willow and Anthony as they wrote this post.

We really are going to miss you guys and for everthing you did for us and plus helping out in the class. We hope you have a safe trip back to your home.

Day 5

Today we went to the Organic Farm. We learnt about the importance of the farm in a place like Milikapiti. We saw many different types of farming facilities. We also saw many different vegetables and fruits and trees. We even saw a snake! Some boys were even silly enough to eat whole chillies. I forgot to mention these chillies were only 4cm long. After that we drove to the basketball court and played basketball with the locals. Some boys instead of playing basketball, cracked coconuts and drank the juice and ate the meat. Some boys believed if you tipped the juice on your hair it will grow faster. Unfortunately due to computer problems we were unable to upload the pictures for this post.

Sam's Say

This is me on Sunday when I caught my first Mud Crab. It was very exciting when Chris, a local, threw the spear into the Mud Crab. We then boiled it and it tasted fantstic. It was so nice.
This is Ben,Will and I watching a local named Clayton trying to look for a crab in one of the holes in the sand. On the end of his stick was a sharp spike but we didn't find any crabs.
